In terms of CSR, and more particularly environmental responsibility, the issue of climate change is no longer the only topic faced by companies, who must measure the impact of their activities on biodiversity from now on. Presently, 24% of mainland France would be non-natural because of the activities of companies. The IUCN World Conservation congress (the International Union for Conservation of Nature) which took place at the beginning of September, gathered scientists, government representatives, environmental defense associations and business leaders, who agreed that today it is imperative to develop measurement tools that enable identification of a quantitative link between the economic activity of a company and its impact on biodiversity.
