At this original exhibition “The Art of Self-Examination”, presented at the Hispanic American Museum of Art in Buenos Aires, visitors were invited to look very closely at the artworks exhibited, and even to touch them.

In the context of this cultural initiative, in the service of health, classic works of art featuring bare-breasted women were recreated. However the breasts, molded in 3D, hid certain particularities: lumps, skin retractions…

The aim was to reproduce the most frequent symptoms of breast cancer, and to invite participants to recognize them, with the naked eye or by touching them. An initiative in the interest of the prevention of breast cancer. In 2020, around 685 000 women in the world died of breast cancer.
